SAVINGS
Actually savings is individual and open to all area residents who are interested. The minimum deposit is 50 Pesos. Withdrawal is easy and takes place directly at the area office. The money is safe as it is not reinvested for loans. Education of the beneficiaries remains the key aspect in savings mobilization. It requires quality time to promote efficiently the importance of savings and to assist the beneficiaries of the program to identify and define priorities in their budget. The Projects Assistants, loans officers of PFCC, focus primarily on the savings discipline of the micro-entrepreneurs so that they can provide quality monitoring and counseling. PFCC has chosen to give first priority to the micro-entrepreneurs in its strategy. Promotion of the savings to other residents of the area is given specific resources through the health program.
